I’m a writer/director from Nottingham. I’ve made a bunch of short films (all on this site) and have also directed/edited TV ads, promos, as well as a couple of documentaries.

I used to freelance, but now I work as head of production for BritFilms, where I deal with all things production, help with the website and make the odd cup of tea.

I guess this is the part where I’m supposed go on about how I first picked up a camera at the tender age of blahblahblah, but I won’t. The truth is that I was something of a late starter to filmmaking (24) but have tried to learn as much as I can from each shoot, and apply it to the next– this is what I intend to keep doing.

What do I make films about? Whatever interests me, things that inspire me or that I can really relate to in someway. Given the choice of style or content, I’d say both, as they are intrinsically linked. It’s my job to look at a story and figure out what it needs in terms of style from the narrative.

I like to read (books/comics), play games, follow the (mis)fortunes of Nottingham Forest and spend time with my much better half, Rachel.

I’ll always consider myself a student of film, and I intend to just keep shooting…
