The Job: This was a showreel piece I did for myself. I wanted to create a commercial for a large brand, using a brief provided by the brand themselves (via MoFilm).
The brief was very open and called for the filmmaker to depict what being connected meant in this day and age.
I wanted to get across that communication today isn’t just done by speaking, but by other means and can be just as powerful, form a connection with us and have a positive impact on our day.
Even when other forms of connections don’t happen (missing a bus, not making a meeting etc.) technology today allows us to make a connection from practically anywhere.
I had a very tight deadline and no budget – but hopefully you’ll think I get the above across in the piece.
